    MSC Cruises

Most of us say yes straight away when it comes to travel. Beautiful scenery, different cultures and unforgettable food are all part of switching off, and of the memories we take home for good. Technology now makes travel cheaper, better and simpler, which is why cruising, a blend of adventure at sea and luxury, has become so popular in recent years. MSC Cruises is a cruise line that offers exactly that, and its cruises have brought a whole new dimension to holidays.

The Italian cruise line was founded in 1987 and is still owned by an Italian family today. MSC Cruises is committed to innovation and quality service, so MSC ships combine modern design with advanced technology to give guests a comfortable, safe and unforgettable experience.

Discover the world of MSC cruises

MSC ships offer real luxury. You can choose from comfortable, elegant cabins to suit your needs, perfect for resting and recharging. In the restaurants, acclaimed chefs cook dishes from cuisines around the world using fresh ingredients, and you can even enjoy them out on deck by the pool. You can also try the fine-dining restaurants for a real culinary treat.

There is also no shortage of things to do on an MSC cruise: you can make the most of the wellness and sports facilities, or catch concerts and shows. You can try your luck in the casino, and if you love to party, a buzzing, magical nightlife awaits you on MSC ships.

Families cruising with children will have a wonderful time too: the ships have kids’ clubs for every age group and LEGO rooms, and some have an aqua park or splash area by the pools, so neither grown-ups nor children will be bored for a single minute on an MSC cruise.

MSC Cruises is renowned worldwide: its wonderful itineraries and destinations make your holiday more exciting, its luxury services keep you comfortable, and the food is a real treat. On an MSC cruise you collect extraordinary memories while discovering different corners of the world. And best of all, you can do it for less with an MSC deal.

    MSC cruise deals

MSC cruises are affordable and offer excellent value for money. Every now and then you will also find special offers and discounts. MSC’s best-loved promotion is the 96-hour sale, which returns year after year to great success: for 96 hours you can book selected cruises at a big discount. When is the next one? We do not know in advance either, so keep an eye on our deals.

    Not just the Mediterranean

What really sets MSC cruises apart is their varied and captivating itineraries. Whether you love the sight of seemingly endless sea or a panorama of picturesque mountains and hills, you can experience it all with MSC, as the line sails to a huge range of destinations. One of the most popular is a Mediterranean cruise, where you can explore the ancient ruins of Rome, the vibrant heart of Barcelona, the magical Greek islands and the relaxed Mediterranean way of life in small Italian towns. But MSC offers plenty of other wonderful itineraries too: you can take in the breathtaking Norwegian fjords on a Northern Europe cruise, or soak up the hot Caribbean vibe on an exotic Caribbean cruise.

    Where can MSC take you?

  • MSC World Europa

    MSC World Europa

MSC World Europa, launched in 2022, is one of the most modern ships in the MSC Cruises fleet.

    Maximum capacity: 6,762 passengers
    Size: 333 m long, 68 m high
Decks: 21, with 13 restaurants, 19 bars, 7 pools and 13 hot tubs on board.

    Launched: 2022

The future of cruising is not just about technology, it is about the experience too. MSC World Europa was designed to take everything a traditional cruise ship offers to a whole new level. Her unique open Y-shaped stern leads onto a promenade more than 100 metres long, with incredible panoramic views of the ocean. On the promenade you’ll find the longest dry slide at sea, the Venom Drop: a stainless steel masterpiece 11 decks high, unlike anything else on a cruise ship.

From the elegant interiors and 13 restaurants to the exciting entertainment, you are in for an unforgettable experience of a kind rarely found on a cruise ship.

This floating luxury hotel has everything you could need on holiday, and then some! If you are after extreme adventures, then besides the 11-deck slide, try the racing car simulator or the games in the gaming zone!

If relaxing is top of your list, the spa awaits with saunas, a steam room, pools and a range of massages and treatments. And if you are worried about your hair and nails, don’t be: there is a hairdresser and a nail salon on board too! You don’t have to skip your workouts either, with a multi-purpose sports court and a gym with ocean views.

If you are an eco-conscious traveller, you’ll be glad to know that MSC Cruises takes care of the environment: MSC World Europa runs on liquefied natural gas (LNG), a new development for cruise ships.

There are 13 restaurants on board, six of them speciality restaurants. One of these is Michelin-starred chef Niklas Ekstedt’s Chef’s Garden Kitchen, with a menu built around natural ingredients and a farm-to-ocean ethos. You can also explore three generous buffets, each with its own atmosphere, including a brand-new venue that is open around the clock.

In the evenings there is the theatre and the casino, or you can stroll along the promenade, lined with shops and bars. To cool off, take a dip in one of the 7 pools or 13 hot tubs, some of them built into the side of the ship with wonderful ocean views. There is even an adults-only zen pool.

If you are cruising with children, whatever their age, they will find the perfect ways to have fun on MSC World Europa. Doremiland is a paradise for families, with a 5D cinema for young and old among its attractions. Kids can choose from several kids’ clubs for different age groups and a LEGO room, and they will have an unforgettable time in the aquapark by the outdoor pool too.

    MSC World Europa itineraries

On MSC World Europa you can discover the most beautiful cities of the Mediterranean, such as Barcelona, Marseille, Genoa and Rome, as well as the islands of Sicily and Malta.

    Cabins on MSC World Europa

As on most cruise ships, you can choose from several types of cabin on MSC World Europa. Every cabin has a bathroom, hairdryer, TV, phone, safe and minibar, and the beds can be set up as two singles or a double. The MSC Yacht Club also offers true luxury suites.

Inside cabins (Bella inside, deluxe inside or inside studio) are 10–15 m² and are on decks 5–21. They are in the interior of the ship, so they have no window.

Ocean view cabins are 12–20 m², on decks 5–12, with a window looking out to sea.

Infinite ocean view cabins have a panoramic window whose top part folds down, turning it into a French balcony. Cool, right?

Balcony cabins are 16–17 m², with balconies of 3–10 m² depending on the cabin. Some look onto the promenade and others onto the ocean, and you can choose which when you book.

Balcony cabins overlooking the promenade are great fun, because there are sometimes concerts or light shows on the promenade that you can watch from the comfort of your own balcony.

You can also choose from several types of suite, which are roomier and more comfortable than the cabins.

The MSC Yacht Club offers a truly high standard of service, not only in its cabins, which include duplex suites, but also in its own private area of the ship reserved for Yacht Club guests, with a 24-hour butler service, a panoramic lounge, an exclusive restaurant and buffet, a private pool with a sun terrace and more luxury services.

  • Everything you need to know before booking your first cruise

Everything you need to know before booking your first cruise

Always wanted to try a cruise but thought it was too expensive, didn’t know where to start looking, or got lost among all the options? Here’s the key information worth knowing well before you book, while you’re still browsing. If you have any questions left, email us at ahoy@clickncruise.com and we’ll get back to you shortly!

How long should your first cruise be?

For most first-timers, a week or less is ideal, with three to six ports of call. 2–5 day mini cruises are perfect for finding out what cruising is like and whether it suits you (we think it will). These sail from A to B, so you can spend a day in each city before and after the cruise.

What does the cruise fare include?

Every price on our site includes your accommodation in the cabin category you choose, the mandatory gratuities, all port taxes and full board on the ship: every meal, plus coffee, tea, water and juices from the dispensers at the buffet. It also covers the gym, hot tubs and pools on board, entertainment, parties and theatre shows.

The price doesn’t include flights, getting to the port, the minibar, alcoholic drinks, optional excursions or Wi-Fi.

    Where to go and when

Cruise lines move their ships around with the seasons. In autumn and winter many ships leave Europe for the Caribbean or the Persian Gulf, and in spring they return to Europe.

You can also sail on these repositioning voyages, or transoceanic cruises. They usually include more days at sea, but they cost far less, and you can save a lot on flights too: the ship takes you from Europe to, say, America or the Emirates, so you only need a long-haul flight in one direction.

Luckily, plenty of ships stay in the Mediterranean all year round.

If you’re flying, it matters where your ship sails from, as some ports are easier to reach than others. In these cities the cruise terminal is close to the airport, so it’s easy to get there by public transport or taxi: Barcelona, Istanbul, Bari, Lisbon, Malta, Málaga, Naples, Copenhagen.

One more tip for choosing your sailing: if you can, avoid school holidays and major public holidays. Not only will you save on the fare, the ship will be much less crowded too.

    Choosing the right cabin

Most ships offer a bewildering range of cabins, which can be hard to make sense of at first. But basically there are only four types of cabin on a cruise ship.

Inside cabins: they have no window, but they’re the most budget-friendly, and an excellent choice if you plan an active holiday and already know you’ll only go back to the cabin to sleep.

Ocean-view cabins: if you’d like natural light and a view of the sea, these are a great compromise between the lower price of an inside cabin and the higher price of a balcony.

Balcony cabins: these let you breathe in some fresh air without leaving your cabin, and they’re usually a little larger than inside and ocean-view cabins. If you’re travelling as a family, they’re well worth considering, as some have a sofa bed so the whole family fits comfortably.

Suites: it goes without saying that if you want real luxury, these offer the most space and the best locations, often with a separate living area and bedroom. They usually come with a large balcony plus extra comforts and perks, such as a private VIP area on board or spa access, and there’s often chilled champagne waiting for you on embarkation day.

Some cruise lines also offer different levels of service within each cabin type (at MSC, for example, you can book Bella, Fantastica and Aurea cabins). We explain these in detail in this article.

    What is a guaranteed cabin?

You always get to choose the cabin type, but if you’d like to save a little, a good trick is to book a so-called guaranteed cabin instead of a specific one. You won’t know the exact cabin number when you book: it could be on a lower or higher deck, forward, aft or midships. Quite often, though, the cruise line gives you an upgrade to a higher category at no extra cost. You’ll see your cabin number on your boarding pass once you’ve checked in.

What is there to do on board?

One thing you definitely won’t do is get bored. There’s so much on offer it’s hard to list it all. One of the best things about cruising is that there’s something for everyone, from the very young to the young at heart. (And of course, days spent doing absolutely nothing are perfectly fine too!) Or spend a few hours in the spa with a massage and a sea view.

We cover what’s on offer on MSC cruises in more detail in this article.
